Ask Us AnythingHull's Heritage Farms is a small, family-run operation right here in Churubusco, Indiana. We raise Kunekune pigs the way they were meant to be raised — in forest, where they can graze and root freely year-round.
The Kunekune is a rare and special breed. They're gentle, naturally grass-fed, and known for their rich marbling and exceptional flavor. When you buy from us, you're not buying from a factory — you're buying from the Hull family, who know every animal by name.
We started Hull's Heritage Farms because we believe people deserve to know where their food comes from. Good food starts with happy animals on healthy land, and that's a standard we hold ourselves to every single day.

If you've never heard of Kunekune pigs, you're not alone. Here's why they're worth knowing about — especially if you care about how your food is raised.
Unlike most pig breeds, Kunekunes thrive on pasture grass with very little grain supplementation. This makes them one of the most sustainable and natural breeds to raise.
Their pasture-based diet produces pork with rich marbling, a deeper flavor, and a quality that simply can't be found at the grocery store. Customers consistently say it's the best pork they've ever had.
Kunekunes are famously calm and people-friendly. They're wonderful for small farms, great with children, and easy to handle — which is why they're one of the most loved breeds for homesteaders.
Our breeding stock comes from quality Kunekune lines, ensuring that every piglet and every pound of pork we sell meets a high standard of breed quality.
Kunekunes are known for their excellent lard production — which we put to work in our handcrafted skincare line. Nothing goes to waste on our farm.
They don't root up pastures aggressively like other breeds, and their smaller size makes them manageable for homesteads and small farms. Perfect for first-time pig owners.

Long before petroleum-based lotions, people nourished their skin with lard — and for good reason. Rendered lard from forest-raised Kunekune pigs is rich in vitamins D, E, and K, with a fatty acid profile remarkably similar to human skin.
Our small-batch skincare is made with pure rendered lard from our own pigs, combined with simple, clean ingredients. No fillers, no synthetic fragrances — just honest skincare rooted in tradition.

A half hog (45–70 lbs) fits in a standard chest freezer. A whole hog (90–140 lbs) typically needs a dedicated 7–10 cubic foot freezer. A good rule of thumb: 1 lb of meat = 1 cubic foot of space.
We recommend reaching out at least 2–3 months in advance, especially for whole or half hog shares. We raise our animals in small batches, so availability is limited and we fill up fast.
We require a deposit to reserve your animal. The deposit holds your spot and is applied toward the final price. We'll discuss the specifics when you reach out — no surprises.
